Lesson: How did the landscape of the Maya area affect trade?
In this lesson, pupils will learn how the Maya area was formed of distinct geographical regions, each with its own climate and treasures to trade. Pupils will find out about the trading goods associated with each region and take part in a trading card game. At the end of the lesson, pupils will have the opportunity to apply their new knowledge in a sourcework challenge and then draw links between the geography of the Maya regions and the British landscape.
